RELATIONSHIPS

Apostolic Communications

Good communication is a very important. The more important a relationship, the more important it is to have good communications operating in it. The quality of an individuals communication habits in their Earthly relationships is a direct indicator of what will be found in their heavenly ones. The best example is that of Bride and Groom, an earthly relationship that is a type of the Apostolic Church and God

Rev 19:7-9: Let us be glad and rejoice, and give honour to him: for the marriage of the Lamb is come, and his wife hath made herself ready. And to her was granted that she should be arrayed in fine linen, clean and white: for the fine linen is the righteousness of saints. And he saith unto me, Write, Blessed are they which are called unto the marriage supper of the Lamb. And he saith unto me, These are the true sayings of God.

To follow this parallel, earthly communication styles have a very high likelihood of mirroring spiritual communication. If the Apostolic Seeker were to examine how he or she communicates with others here on earth, they would then know what their communication with God must be like. It is often easier to see the tangible (a friend or relative) than it is to see the omnipresent God of the Universe, who is all and everywhere. Please take a moment and contemplate the few communication styles that can be found below. These examples represent different ways of controlling communication between two adults that actually occur. Are they similar to how men and women will actually interact when in communication with God? Think about it.

These cases represent a problem with listening, and occur after an individual has finished speaking, and their listener is now trying to respond.

These cases represent a problem with talking, and occur after an individual has finished listening, and has no intention of responding to what they heard.

In Summary; all of these communication styles have one purpose, to prevent change of mind from occurring. Communication is the means of sharing and transporting ideas and thoughts from one individual to another. In proper operation, both individuals are affected and come away from the conversation changed. In communications with God, just take the two examples of Prayer and Worship. Both of these examples have an effect on God and the participating individual. There are many scripture references to support this concept, explore them, and grow.

God enjoys your communication with him!

Rev 5:8 And when he had taken the book, the four beasts and four and twenty elders fell down before the Lamb, having every one of them harps, and golden vials full of odours, which are the prayers of saints.

Acts 10:3 He saw in a vision evidently about the ninth hour of the day an angel of God coming in to him, and saying unto him, Cornelius. Acts 10:4 And when he looked on him, he was afraid, and said, What is it, Lord? And he said unto him, Thy prayers and thine alms are come up for a memorial before God.

John 4:21-24 Jesus saith unto her, Woman, believe me, the hour cometh, when ye shall neither in this mountain, nor yet at Jerusalem, worship the Father. Ye worship ye know not what: we know what we worship: for salvation is of the Jews. But the hour cometh, and now is, when the true worshippers shall worship the Father in spirit and in truth: for the Father seeketh such to worship him. God is a Spirit: and they that worship him must worship him in spirit and in truth.
